It has taken us more than two full years working mostly on week-ends to restore our 1965 Scad-A-Bout Teardrop Trailer. Our Maiden Voyage will be on the 4th of July.
From this Maiden Voyage we will begin to chronicle our adventures during these camping trips with photos and text, for all whom may want to join us via this camping blog.
For anyone who has never seen our restoration blog you may review the last two years by following this link: http://scad-a-bout.blogspot.com/

Our Teardrop Trailer Maiden Voyage
We enjoyed our Maiden voyage at a local park due to the increased gas prices, but we enjoyed it none the less. We spend the 4th of July at Bogart Park, a Riverside County Park.
We think it was a good shake down camping trip, and we think we will be better prepared for our next one over the long Labor Day week end when we will be going to Lake Skinner.
Lake Skinner
Well we just returned from our holiday week end at Lake Skinner, we wonder if we need so much stuff to be comfortable, it seems so much more work having the extras, but then again we restored a teardrop trailer because we did not want to camp in a tent. Anyway overall all went well, finally got what I called a good night sleep after 3 nights in the teardrop, the last 2 campsites were so noisy, after dark and a full day of drinking by the other campers things get loud after the sun goes down.
Anyway here is a few photos I took, they look much like the ones I took last camping trip
